Move over Martha Stewart

and shove out of the way Nigella, Miche’le has been baking!

I love to give gifts at Christmas, in fact I really enjoy giving gifts at any time for purely selfish reasons.  The look on the faces of those that receive is a joy that lifts my day untold. 

This year with Mr BHQ away and me flying solo in the shop and not really getting anytime to wander through shops looking for those special things for friends, I decided to bake.

Four dozen ultra rich choc chip cookies later and, drum roll please, eight bundles of cholesterol ready for special people.  Now the reason why I say “bundles of cholesterol” is because in the entire mixture there is 500g of butter, 500g milk choc drops and, 500g white choc drops.  A heart attack in the making, which is why I have only put half a dozen in each parcel and hey, it’s Christmas!

Now, here is something I found out while wrapping the bundles in cellophane – the colour comes off,  it doesn’t look that bad in the picture, but trust me I have lolly pink hands.  Note to self, don’t use cellophane to wrap light coloured things.
