Whew! Onwards and Upwards

Hi everyone, yesterday was not easy and I was absolutely shattered by the end of the day, I think it must have just been all the pent up emotion.  On the way home from the airport I turned up the stereo very loud and sang my heart out - trust me I don't sing very well, but all that 'belting it out' really made me feel a lot better.  Goodness knows what other drivers thought of this mad woman (oh the shame) but what the heck, I felt better. Thankyou so much to those of you that e-mailed me with your kind wishes, it's nice to know that others care.
Last night was long and slow and I really couldn't settle to anything.  I did a few blocks and even picked up my cross stitch but nothing held my attention.  However today is a new start and I have started by signing up for an exchange, this is my first and I'm really eager to get cracking on it.  Once the housework is out of the way I'm off to the machine.
Keep happy

  1. I hope the next 6 months rushes by for you because you have been madly sewing and the shop has been over run with customers.
I presume the man in your life is Army ?
I know a young friend returned a couple of weeks ago.

I think I hear you singing!

  3. Aw Miche'le, I so know what you mean. Bill has been away for 10 days and I have hated every minute of it, was so pleased he got back a day early, but I can't imagine being away from him for 6months, you are so brave ( I know you don't feel it but you have to be in front of the kids!). Keep busy, what exchange have you signed up for? or thought do I need to know?
    Big hugs Deb

  5. Remember the saying - sing like nobody can hear you... you go for it girl. Six months will go quickly (gosh I can't even begin to imagine how that would feel). It sounds like you have wonderful family and friends around you to help bring a fresh smile each day. Hugs Jx
