No Chocolate = No Muscles

At the risk of sounding like a weather reporter, the last three days have given us almost everything ‘him up stairs’ can throw at us, except for snow.
The night before last the winds were amazing, but I sewed on content in the thought that all was safe and sound and  later cuddled up under a quilt lulled into sleep with the outside noise.
Well, very early the following morning the dogs were restless so I traipsed downstairs to let them out.  By this stage the wind had died down, all was calm, all was bright (sounds like a good line for a song, but I digress), as I was already awake and new I wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep I pottered – as you do. Nestled in my chair with laptop where it belongs I blissfully continued checking e-mails etc, all the time thinking there was one heck of a draft coming from somewhere.  Upon getting really peeved with this cold chill I went searching for the source.  Imagine my horror when I discovered that the wind had blown the ranch slider door of its tracks.  No matter how I tried I could n't lift the jolly thing back where it belonged.
Now, I figure if I hadn’t given up chocolate for the entire month of December I would have had the strength to lift it – well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it (as I sit here enjoying a ‘Peanut Slab’).  images
Finally my DD and her big strong man came home from their holidays.  The poor bloke, he hadn’t even got out of the car and I had him collared into fixing the door – yeah, job done, chocolate eaten and strength returned LOL.
By the way, I managed to lose 2kg over the Christmas period.
hugs to all chocolate lovers – stay strong

  1. I am working on staying strong - chocolate is off the menu for the next wee while as I teach this middle-aged body a lesson in shape control. ;-)
