A new day dawns

Well, after thinking today was going to be long and quiet things improved rapidly.imagesCAD3753N   Firstly a couple of the girls from the group that used to meet here visited for a chat and to give me a card.  Unfortunately I didn't get to open it until they had left but in the envelope was a lovely thank you card plus a gift voucher for our local book shop. So once I get into town I'll have to visit the shop and see if I can find something that I can have as a keepsake rather than just any old book. The girls invited me to attend their group days at the new location and maybe once I get time from the shop and other commitments I'll take them up on that offer.

By lunchtime I had two ladies here sewing the day away plus another visitor to the shop,  Mirriana lives locally and wants to take advantage of the sit'n stitch days we hold here.  Wow, I couldn't believe it and was reminded of the saying about one door closing while another opens. Someone, somewhere is looking after me and I must admit come this evening I'm feeling so much brighter and not quite so lonely.

Many comments have come in as a result of my last post.  I've chosen to keep those just for me, I hope you don't mind.  One in particular reminded me that I belong to the biggest quilting group, the one that you all are members of, one where many friends have been found and ups and downs shared - what a blessing. Thank you for that and thank you for your continued support it means so very much to me.

  1. Yah, it is so true, you reap what you "sew". Its all karma Miche'le and the way you treat people is how you will be treated. You have such a kind and generous spirit and people are aware of that and those of us who appreciate you and know you will be there for you.

  2. Hi Miche'le, So pleased you have had a more cheery day, things always seem to sort themselves out in the end don't they! I've only 'known' you a short time, but it is obvious to me already that you are a caring soul. Hope you choose something lovely from the book shop that you will always treasure.
    *hugs* Nicky

Just read your last 2 posts. Wow what a roller coaster ride you've been having. My bads usually go in 3s then I get a break. :-)

It sounds like a time for new opportunities, new people and friends and arnica cream for the bruises. Hugs.
