Just in time for OPAM 2012

The last stitch in the last quilt for 2012 is done – this quilt has been hanging on my sewing room design wall for at least a year, probably closer to 2 years.  So with OPAM to be updated and nothing I can share at the moment I got stuck in and finally finished it.

A number of years ago I saw a quilt like this and couldn’t find a pattern for it so I decided to make my own.  The puritans out there would probably have a fit at how I worked out measurements etc. . but it worked and lays flat and square AND I quilted it myself, which for someone that really classes herself as a hand quilter, I was rather pleased with.  A wee bit of stippling, some ‘in the ditch’ and some outlining and it was done.

So that’s it – the last stitch in the last quilt for 2012 and my last project for OPAM for the year too.

Thank you to Peg and Kris for running OPAM for yet another year – I’ll be ready to sign up for 2013.

As far as here at our shop – my goodness we have been busy over the last few months and getting a regular day off has become a luxury.  Thank you to all of our regulars – you are the heart of the shop and to all of our visitors, we hope to see you again.

2013 will start with two clubs – Strippers and Table Toppers plus there are already a number of classes in the diary so if you are interested e-mail me or drop into the shop.

Have a wonderful New Year, may it be full of good health and good company and just enough of anything to keep you happy.
