Letting My Fingers Do The Walking

Blogging friends and technology are just wonderful and add shopping to that list and things are just great.

Earlier this week I decided to have just a little look at amazon.com to see what quilting books they had for sale.  I was really after anything by Blackbird Designs, I just love their designs and hadn’t been able to find any around here.  Well… I found them alright so with credit card in hand I let my fingers do the walking (easy peasy), before I knew it I had bought three of them, I know it’s a bit over the top but there was a special price – really.

A few hours later and still feeling pleased with myself (and slightly guilty at being so extravagant) I wanted to share my news with a quilting friend, so I e-mailed Deb thinking I could share the guilt without getting a telling off.  Dahlin’ Deb responded as I had hoped plus, she gave me a great web site to visit, The Stitchery.   Yeah, another blogging buddy, Stitchery Jen.  Again my fingers glided over the keys, yep, I did it again (by this stage guilt was a thing of the past).  So, with a quick visit to the bank (on line of course), to check how hungry my visa was I clicked here, clicked there and in general had a ball.

Jenny was delightful to deal with and we even had a few giggles on line, thank you Jenny.

Today my parcel from her arrived, all wrapped beautifully in tissue with a bow and a free quilt label –smiles all round. 002Now I know I should be finishing a few UFO’s but really, these are just too nice to ignore.  Combining stitchery and piecing I’m in heaven.

Who wouldn’t be?  Now I just have to wait for the Amazon parcel to arrive and I figure I’ll be set for the rest of the year and then some.

Blogging buddies and technology, what a great combination – thanks ladies.  Now I just have to make sure my dear man over in Timor doesn’t look at my blog for a few days or so!

happy hugs
