OPAM and Bright Owls

Over the last couple of weeks I've been slightly out of my comfort zone.  You see, I'm a 'country girl' when it comes to colours but when I saw Amy Bradleys' fab owl  pattern 039 for this quilt I just new I had to hunt through my stash and then the shop for anything that didn't have a grey base colour.  Eventually I gave up on my stash - there just wasn't anything there that was suitable  and anything I once did have I remember was just charm squares, and I had long since given them away to one of the ladies that used to meet here at the shop- note to self, buy some 'brights' to save raiding the shop and DON"T give them away!!!
Anyway, today while sitting in the sun  (yep we actually have sun here so put the ark on hold) I managed to get the binding stitched and take a few sunny photos.
Woo hoo, another finish for OPAM - I'm doing the happy dance here.

  7. This is gorgeous!! I know what you mean about comfort colour zones - I'm usually most comfortable in country colours too but find it fun to break out and use brights from time to time!
